"I had a DREAM!" Chris Matthews was screaming and spitting in my Ear
Edited on Sat Nov-05-05 07:01 PM by KoKo01
last night. He was yelling and going at me point by point about WHY I'M a DEMOCRAT but don't respect him. I tried to tell him...but it seemed cotton was stuffed in my mouth (like I'd been to the Dentist and my tongue was still frozen) so I tried to tell him that Bush was ruining America...and he kept yelling and yelling at me. He started quoting articles that said that what I thought about Bush was SO WRONG that I must need to be "on Meds." He said: "you and people, like you, are the PROBLEM in America."

I woke up in a cold sweat...I felt sick.

I decided last night that maybe I need to cut back on watching Tweety for awhile. It was scary! I'd given up watching him after the 2004 Selection...and only drifted back once in awhile if there was some news favorable to Dems and then had to turn him off again.

Is it worth watching Matthews over Blitzer? Blitzer doesn't give me nightmares...I laugh at him...but he's not on the "cutting edge" over PlameGate like Matthews has been lately...lately...lately.

I must be too sensitive...Maybe I just can't deal anymore with Cable Media.

BTW: not jerking folks around with this post...this is real...and I wonder if it's PlameGate overload...anyone else have it? We thought we had them...and they've escaped again..but I do believe Fitz has exposed what they NEVER THOUGHT WOULD COME OUT. Fitz is going to bring them down..I think.

13. GE has a lot of pull. But you know what? Their stock is NOT
doing well since the Chimp. The "Insurgents" must have taken a big toll on their deployed weapons. Like, maybe the US Govt. isn't paying GE what they thought they would get out of "TOTAL WAR." Or, Cheney is using someone else other than GE.

It's amazing that they haven't profited like Halliburton and others from this WAR.

Stocks up maybe a few points. I don't own it...but I check it figuring that I need to see who is really profiting off our taxpayer backs in Bush's "FOLLY."

14. Does He Ever Take Callers on His Show?
Someone should dial him up and say on air:

"You're deth...picable!" That would get a reaction.

2. I hear ya. Stuff like that pops up in my dreams every now and then, too.
The BEST time was when I had a sex dream about Al Gore. It was so real that at about 3am I nudged my husband awake.....uh....to ...uh...the end.

11. Oh wow
I haven't had any dreams like that. I have had a futureistic dream where in the dream something happened (like an attack or almost attack) and three reporters were on CNN talking about it. One person was blaming Bush (it was his fault), another person Kerry and another person Clinton (go figure). That's the only time I've ever had any dreams like that with politics. Mostly my dreams don't make any sense. I would love to have a dream like that but instead of Gore have Fitzgerald. ;) There should be a drooling emoticon on here.

3. How to watch hardball - Tape or Tivo It
then

Listen to matthews intro as he sums up the show.

Watch David Schuster's report.

If tweety has a panel of "real' journalists (ie WaPo, Newsweek, NY Daily Newsetc) discussing their stories, watch it. There will usually be interesting stuff.

If tweety is interviewing anyone identified as a "republican spokesperson" fast forward. Unless you want to see if tweety slaps them down, which he sometimes/often does. Poor Ken Mehlman last week.

If tweety has a panel with Right Wingnut Opinion People (i.e. John Fund, Coulter wannabes etc) fast forward. Unless Katerina Vanden Heuvel from The Nation is on the panel too -- because she will slap the wingnuts down.

If tweety is chatting it up with Andrea Mitchell and Fineman, be at the ready with your remote. Sometimes Fineman can be interesting, other times not.

If tweety gets on a deranged tear ala his wacked out interp of Alito "dirtsheet" fast forward.

JMHO

Matthews is what he is -- a fairly conservative democrat who gets real wacky sometimes.

6. Good point. Maybe "watching live" is the bad part. Taping later...
Simple...and I shoulda thought of that to save me "angst."

12. Yep
I remember watching either late 2003 or early 2004 an interview he did with Gore about Gore running or not. He was like a tenniebopper at an NSync or Hanson concert. So that's why he confuses me. If I do watch any news media it's Keith Olbermann.

7. don't eat "aged meat" anymore...but yeah maybe it was the "gorgonzola"
I remember a friend of mine telling me that red wine gave her horrible nightmares...and another friend said like you..."watch the aged cheese."

So...maybe that was it. I did have a glass of red wine and make a salad with gorgonzola in it last night. Maybe that was it...

Thanks for the tip..

9. I think so too
Slowly but surely he will. :) Look at what happened in Illinois. :D So that gives me some hope. I stopped watching them long ago. And you can take this with a grain of salt if you want but in January of 2004 it was reported that Matthews went to Boehemian Grove which both Bush men are apart of.
