Bush Orders Staff to Review Ethics Rules
So, it's an HR issue! Tweak the policy and conduct a training session. Heck, hire Tom Peters.

2. Gov Bob Taft of Ohio made his staff do the same shit.
What about the ethics of starting an unneeded war, stealing 2 elections,
and calling a man who won a silver star, a bronze star, and 3 purple hearts
a traitor?

3. That's ridiculous!

How about admitted that 2,000 American kids, and around 100,000 innocent Iraqis, are dead because of your enormous arrogance and ignorance?

How about turning yourself into the World Court?

4. Reminds me ......
of the sensitivity training a friend of mine went through with Clear Channel last year before the election. It turned out that the radio station needed to be sensitive to the need for the GOP to get their propaganda out without any criticism. The meeting had always previously been devoted to gender and cultural concerns , but last year it was just plain Fascist.

6. I needed a good laugh - Thanks!
They spend five years purposefully being unethical and now they are going to undo what they planned to do all along. Conservatives, free republic members, the klan all oughta be pissed at this outrageous behavior. Obviously bush is trying to suck up to liberals and true patriots.

8. "After a thorough review, it was determined that no ethics laws were
broken, and that - in fact - the * administration has the highest ethical behaviour of an administration since the Magna Carta was signed."

9. Window dressing.
It took 'em five years to find a dictionary and figure out how to spell "ethics."

12. Does Bush have to take the training session, too? Cause I don't
think all those polls out there show him as being very ethical. You can't cure the body if the head is rotting off.

13. Well, in the case of the problem manager
you usually bring in an outside consultant to deliver the tough feedback and assist with developing an action plan with goals and timelines.

It's important to be as behavior-specific as possible, listing the things the manager needs to do more of, less of, or stop doing.

In this particular situation, however, I'd suggest a mandatory referral to the EAP, assuming, of course, that the White House has an Employee Assistance Program. Maybe Andy Card knows the answer to that one.

14. A note from George Bush to his staff
From: President George W. Bush, the Commander in Chief
To: All White House peons staff
Subj: Ethics Rules

1. It has come to my attention lately that some of you people may have committed minor technical violations of the law during your period of service. This is starting to get a little embarrassing.

2. As one of my heroes said, "if you're going to steal, rob a bank, not a grocery store."

3. I will not tolerate any more of this "gray area" shit. I want every damn one of you fuckers to read the Ethics Rules, right now. If you're going to get caught with your pants down, it's going to be for clear-cut and exceptionally grave violations of federal law, not for technical violations like you assholes have been pulling ever since I stole this shitty job was elected in 2000. Don't worry about going to jail, I will pardon you if you get caught before you can even be tried.

4. Oh yeah. One last thing. That "get caught with your pants down" thing? It was a joke. You know the only crime in Washington is getting a blowjob. So don't do it.

5. I expect full cooperation in this matter.
