What a glorious time to be a freeper in America!

To know that the nation now sees exactly what you see: that your beloved "president" is the competent can-do man of action that you have always seen him to be; that Republicanism means smaller, more efficient government; that Saddam was an immanent threat to civilization and taking him out was essential to inaugurating an era of global world peace...

NOT!

1. They have to rationalize like crazy to justify this mess.

A good point on Maher last night.

Imagine if a classified CIA Agent was outed during the Clinton/Gore years. Can you imagine the howling from the RW?

Yet, when their own putz buckets do it they almost kill themselves stumbling over every word and parsing "classified" vs "covert."

They revealed the name of a classified agent without authorization and that violates Federal Code.

2. And on the flip side of your argument

If bush got head from a male intern in the oval office, the lemmings would rationalize it away as merely a diversion needed by our president as he leads our country to greatness.

Yes, free republic members and their contemporaries in klaverns and pulpits throughout the nation are intensely pathetic. They've yet to discover that knowledge trumps belief every time.
