DU was just blocked at my workplace.

I'm a school teacher, and it's a county website, but the reason they give for blocking DU is curious. When I attempt to get here, I recieve a message that says "access denied: advanced sex/ed content". Should I have been spending more time in the Lounge? Seriously though, I will miss coming on at lunch or for a few minutes when the kids are in music or PE. Hell, this place is family.

print out some of the racist/hateful stuff they have, and sned it with a letter to the school district.. Tell them how OFFENDED you are that racist hateful sites are available on school property..

Ask what and where the "advanced sex ed" is. I doubt FreeRepublic's prose is any less blue than hours.

Mediawhores.com and Bartcop were blocked at a company where I used to work. They thought Mediawhores was a sex site and Bartcop was a conspiracy theorist. I wrote in explaining that they were both rooted in current events, and they were unblocked. I still feel especially good about having done that because the company is multinational!

comes from purchased things such as netnany or cybernanny -- they sell corporate software as well as home software.

If DU has made one of those lists other than under the political category, we need to find out -- so if your blocked, ask what blocking software is being used. Also ask for a manual override.
