"I don't know Joe Wilson"
But I do call him Joe. Someone explain to me how the man who prosecuted the first Gulf War does not know the then Ambassador to Iraq, Joseph Wilson. Call me crazy, but methinks Undisclosed Dick is parsing his words carefully.

1. Yes, the very same man who was praised so eloquently by Poppy Bush.
A man who actually hung a noose around his neck in defiance of Saddam. Tell us another one, "GFY" Cheney.

3. Riiiiiiggght. The same Joe that goes to Karl's church?
Indeed, the Wilson's ran in some exclusive circles in DC. I'm quite certain our Dick knew exactly who Joe Wilson was well prior to the outing.

4. well, maybe he never met him. Maybe he knew OF him, but not him.
I don't think we can call that a lie until there's proof that they met.

I did not say it was a lie
I said it was carefully parsed. Had he said "I don't know who Joe Wilson is" that would have been a lie. Most importantly for Dick, he creates the impression that he's never heard of the guy.

6. There's a picture of the two sitting next to each other at a Prayer
Breakfast. (not totally sure what occasion was, but Joe showed it months ago.)

7. Didn't Cheney claim to never have met Edwards?
Even though, as President of the Senate, he had to deal with him every day it was in session . . . and had breakfasts with him . . .
