3. Yawn ... I'm sure they've "lost contact" with Lucia Newman, too
She's their Havana reporter who would probably set the entire thing straight (saying Chavez/Castro aren't to blame for EVERY problem).

15. Dana Bash is an idiot. Bush's actions are egging the protestors on.
Protests break out in EVERY CITY Bush visits and *gasp* Chavez has nothing to do with it.

i know!

the argentinian "b" is pronounced "ch";
the argentinian "u" is pronounced "a";
the argentinian "s" is pronounced "ve";
the argentinian "h" is pronounced "z".

it all makes sense now!

16. Oh, the Faux coverage is just hysterical
and I mean that not in the humorous sense. They had Tony Snow, Cavuto and Michael Reagan on all at the same time, talking about how St. Ronnie of the Ketchup Vegetable brought freedom to South America. Really. They did.

Protests the work of "communists," and, of course, "socialism is a failed economic policy." Stupid gits!

18. Socialism ISN'T an economic policy -- it's a form of government
CAPITALISM is a (soon to be) failed economic policy. Like you said, stupid gits!

29. So would Argentina's 30,000 "disappeared"
Of course, they can't speak out. Their mothers wore white headscarves, embroidered with the names of the lost children, to their protests before the Generals lost power. And they are among today' protesters.

This report, done in 1997 when Clinton visited Argentina, tells the story.

www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/latin_america/july-dec97/argentina_10-16a.html

Mrs. Clinton acknowledged those problems in a private meeting today with women whose relatives disappeared during the military dictatorship 20 years ago.

I wonder what Pickles has been doing with her free time?

24. These damned cable news doofusses ("doofi?")
don't realize that virtually the entire South American continent has swung to the left, with the single exception of Colombia, where we're waging a nasty little war and creating the Andean beachhead for the fight w/ Venezuela.

Query: does Vulf Blitzah actually *live* in a crypt at CNN, now that he's doing about 8 hours a day? Does he ever even see the light of day?

Incredible stuff, with emphasis on incredible.
I'm sure the people of S.A. appreciate Ronnie's intervention! I know many of the people of Nicaragua will be eternally grateful!

21. I was watching Fox for a while just now
It was alarming. I mean the propaganda was soo obvious and they had no clue on why people were protesting. David assman said it was because they hate rich people. I nearly fell off my chair when he said that and all the others (eagleburger and some other nut) shook their heads in agreement.

"Now if, as I do, you believe that the U.S. should flex its muscles once in awhile . . ."

Could somebody please find out what the Republican Party did with Theodore Roosevelt?

Whatever happened to that whole "Walk softly" thingy?

23.  I hate all the MSM so much.
Wolf wanted to know if all the red flags were symbols of
communists or socialists.

Then I started flipping through the channels from station
to the other and listened to ALL of them claim that the
demonstrations were Anti-American.

One after another pushed the idea that these were either
anti free trade demonstrators or anti US demonstrators.
Not ONE, would acknowledge that it is in fact Anti-Bush
sentiment.

I haven't watched TV in about 14 years and after this I
think it will be another 14 before I do it again.

How damn ignorant can they be? There was one reporter who
was talking to the editor of the Buenos Aries Herald. She
kept asking him if this was Anti-American sentiment. He
kept saying it was anti bush. While they were talking the
camera person was showing the remains of a molotov cocktail
on the street. Someone nudged a paper flyer with the words
on it: Fora Bush into the camera range near the broken glass
on the street. The camera kept shifting away from the flyer.
The person kept shoving back into camera range. It was the
only laugh I had watching all this.
