Bush faces falling integrity rating

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A poll showing rising doubts among Americans about
President George W. Bush's integrity has raised a new hurdle to the fresh start he is seeking after the indictment of a senior White House aide and other political woes.

TALK OF SHAKE-UP

Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman and Ed Gillespie, a former RNC chairman, are among those frequently mentioned as possible new additions to the White House team.
(cut)

Some of their greatest hits:
Gillespie: "George W. Bush is not only a great president; he was a great candidate"

"I don't believe we're the party of big business."

Mehlman: "We are worried about the size of the deficit, which is why the president is pleased that the House and Senate have followed his lead in cutting the deficit in half over the next five years. "

"We've created, as you know over the past two years, 3.5 million jobs. Homeownership is at an all-time high, including homeownership among minorities in this country. Most recent consumer confidence numbers were good. That having been said, the president's not satisfied. Even though the economy is good, he wants to do more."

"I'm a mean drunk."

8. Kenny (Bud) Mehlman!
This guy is a parody of a freep. He's so ridiculously rigid that he's his own caricature!
He reminds me most of the ROTC guy in Animal House.

"At the end of Animal House a subtitle says that Doug Neidermeyer went to Vietnam where he was "killed by his own troops."

the guy who played him has a restaurant in Milwaukee now.

my brother went there one night, and the guy was there, walking around, talking to the eaters and eatettes.

15. you notice that his first preference is always a campaign mgr.
Always for everything, why doesn't he pick someone who has experience
in public service, no, because to him there is no governing, it's always just public relations. Spin/WIN, WIN/Spin.
