I'm suffering from Fitz withdrawal.
I must confess that I miss seeing pictures of him, giggling school girl snickers, and considering a parallel universe with a geeky 40-something year-old prosecutor who needs a fresh helping of lasagna.

Oh woe is my life at the moment. Pass me some scotch.

1. Thanks to him
there is finally some backbone. First libby then cheney and then *. They should be removed from office.

3. If he doesnt get Rove, he failed
If he does hes a good prosecutor.

Its real clear Rove has confessed to crimes. If Fitzy shows some courage and goes after Rove Ill give him his due.

5. I don't consider that a failure
The indictment of Libby alone has done plenty of damage on it's own.

bush is catching a lot of hell for keeping him on.

Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 01:24 PM by JulieRB
Yeah, I'd like to dwell in that parallel universe, too. I heard he supposedly likes oatmeal raisin cookies. If you make the lasagne, I'll get some cookie dough going...

Did you see the pictures Stephanie so kindly furnished yesterday? It's Prosecutie from all angles. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x5253460 (There's one in there that I can imagine his saying, "(pick an expletive,) don't you all have enough pictures YET?"

I think I need some scotch, too -- or in honor of our favorite guy, it's Guinness for everyone. :toast:

13. The middle photograph
I'm suddenly flashing on a line from "Bulworth" -- "You! Tell me the truth, and don't be afraid of hurting my feelings. Do you have any more of those crab cake things you were just passing around?"

I'm sure there's a better caption, but hell, it's the end of a long day, and I think I'll need a nap before I can come up with anything more clever.

I've been looking for an excuse to post this. :bounce: A Washington Post column has some fresh Fitz gossip & advice for the lovelorn. The headline? "The Prosecutor is Found...Dreamy." Giggle.

20. It's okay to post it. :)
Readers want to know: Where exactly is Patrick Fitzgerald 's Plamegate investigation headed? Will he charge anyone with leaking the CIA agent's identity? And most importantly -- is he single?

"Am I weird? Patrick Fitgerald is cute!" a female journalist wrote to us shortly after the special prosecutor's eye-catching Friday news conference explaining charges against Scooter Libby . "Saturday Night Live's" Tina Fey spelled it out in a monologue the next day: "Trim, soft-spoken, manly Patrick Fitzgerald. His clear, steady voice, piercing blue eyes and unimpeachable integrity restoring my faith in America and making me want to do things I have never done before."

Good news, ladies! The strapping 44-year-old is single! But dirt on his social life is harder to come by than reliable leaks of secret grand jury proceedings.

Look, we tried:

"Beyond telling you he's a confirmed bachelor, I am going to decline to answer questions about his personal life," said his spokesman, Randy Samborn . Dating anyone? "That I'm not going to answer." What's he looking for in a girl? "No comment." Who's he take to Mets games? "No comment."

An old Amherst buddy, Los Angeles lawyer Tony Bouza , described Fitzgerald as "a great catch. . . . He's funny, smart, warm, easy to be around -- you couldn't ask for more." Advice for the interested? "Be yourself. He's a man of relatively simple pleasures."

---------------

Let's face it. After that news conference this man will have a lot of women after him. If I were his gf in Chicago, I'd be worried.:)

21. I am missing our favorite "Prosecutie" too!

Whatta man!

And what's weird is that I think I've seen him in person before and didn't even realize that in my impatience to order my expresso, I was standing in the presence of greatness.

25. Uh, Writer?
Have you read the article yet? It seems "People" managed to find out a bit more information about our guy. I would summarize, but I'm worried about copyright*. There's also a college-era photograph...

Julie

*If this guy has a girlfriend, she's in the Witness Protection Program. EVERYONE is trying to match him up. If he was "taken", why would they be trying so hard?

What's going on? I'll be out later... maybe I'll pull it off the shelf for a look.

Not sure if I understand the issue here? Is it a nasty college photo?

27. Okay. The highlights.
>Is it a nasty college photo?<

No, he's just younger and has more hair. :swoon:

The worst part of the article is the photograph of Libby. Ewwww.

It seems our guy is loved by all. There's a bit of info about the cat(s), about his siblings, (a brother and two sisters,) about what he likes to do in his miniscule spare time. There is some serious lobbying on behalf of those who know him for a significant other.

It's a nice article. It's also too short.

28. Thanks for that Julie.
My mom subscribes to People, I'll have to check it out next time I visit. ABC has a video with a few pictures when Fitz was younger. A couple were high school and one was college (he was very cute back then and he did have more hair!). I had the link but for some reason it no longer works.

29. It was too short
I picked up People yesterday and was disappointed to find out the article was so short and that they wasted space on that piece of shit Libby, space they could have given to our Fitzy. But I did find out some things that I didn't know.

What a guy he is, in every way, looks, brains, and he really does seem to have a heart of gold

24. Aw, really? I'm still kinda feeling the Fitzmas rush.
Some have lost the faith or gone batty from waiting and--I feel that, I miss him, too--but part of the joy of Fitzmas, Pt II, will be the second coming. It'll be better than the first round. In fact, we might even call it the third coming. Or the fourth. He's that good.

And if you were me on the weekend after Fitzmas, Pt I, it's more like the fifteenth. I really enjoyed my Fitzmas.
