Post-Fitzmas Blues: Back to the Waiting Game

For those of us who hoped (however irrationally) that Fitzmas was going to set in motion a rapid chain of events that would bring down the White House, these are frustrating and maddening days. I’m back to my pre-Fitzmas routine of checking DU and the blogs about every five minutes to see if the jig has come up for BushCo. This is frustrating as hell. How many more years will we be asked to “be patient.” It’s been five god damn years.

And no, I’m not just sitting idle and waiting. Yes, I realize these things take time, etc., etc.

But damn if justice is not moving sickeningly slow.

1. Depends on how you define "rapid chain of events"

I don't think anybody expected more indictments this week. That would have been an unrealistic expectation. Although we would like immediate resolution to the issue, one cannot reasonably expect that.

Let's be patient people. John Dean now says that more indictments are undoubtedly around the corner. How far that corner is, is up to Fitz. Please let him do his work.

But Patrick, please make headway as quickly as you can. We're all sitting here on the edges of our seats.

4. Assume it won;t go fatther and work with that

Don't know if anything more will come of Fitz's work. Mebbe more to come, maybe not. But the public point has already been made, regardless of what else does or doesn't come from Fitz.

But my own way is to assume that the biggest shoe has already dropped. If not I will be surprised, and better to be surprised than disappointed.

Just my humble suggestion for sanity-saving.
