Can Bush Salvage His Presidency? Do You Give a Shit???
Unbelievable--just how long does this "Ground Hog Day" keep going on?! The more Bush 'falls', the more the media inundates us with segments on what Bush MUST do to save his presidency (like the country is weeping, gnashing teeth and anxiously awaiting the saving of our hero)! Isn't it about time they started to ask the question: What can Americans do to salvage this democracy and survive this regime??? Seems to me it would be more appropriate. Do they not get that the only support for the inept little scum is from his upper 2% and the "outside the mainstream" brotherhood of sick weirdos?

2. mmonk--actually they should make it a "question of the day"
You know--go to our website and vote whether you give a shit about salvaging this bastard? The vote would be about 30% to 70%. Unfortunately it wouldn't wake them up. It would just be proof that they needed to jack up the propaganda.

3. You know, if I thought it would make a difference here in the US
for Bush to regain some momentum, I might grimace and bare it, but I really think the less he does and the lower his popularity is the better off our country is. That way he can't inflict more harm.

14. secondedition---AMEN
We are stuck with this freak - the next best thing to having him removed and marched out of the White House is to have him such an anethama that the repukes don't want to go near him or touch any Bush agenda in fear of being removed in the next election. Make sure both the legs of this duck are broken so that he can be nothing but 'lame' for the remainder of the term.

6. I've wondered about that...
what can he do? i.e. where is the good news going to come from? Iraq? The economy?
Many, if not most folks on here would say that the only thing that can save him is bad news. Really, really, really bad news. Some hideous event, man-made not natural, that frightens people into trusting their televisions and the soothing voices coming from them (even more than they do now). Where is the next Reichstag?

8. There isn't a god damned thing he can do, and I agree-
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 10:48 AM by Marr
the sycophantic cries of "he must do A,B, and C and he'll be my hero again" make me sick.

The American public has finally realized that the man is not only incompetent, he's a liar. Every time he opens his mouth and fumbles through one of his lies, he reinforces these beliefs and people hate him more.

9. It almost sounds like they are coaching him to help him out but
the joke is on them because he's too smart to waste his time watching the news.

And no, I don't give a rat's ass.

10. that's all the press cares about, "Can Bush come back?"
when they detail the poll numbers--the press likes nothing more than Bush coming back and will do everything in their power to help it along.
