Biggest Pat Robertson Lie Ever
As I was going from one channel to another .... I saw 30 seconds of
the 700 club on ABC Family channel ..... here is his biggest lie ever
(even bigger then being a combat vet in Korea .... he called daddy
and got off the boat in Japan)

People who go to church have a 46% lower death rate then non
church goers.

Everybody who is born will have a 100% death rate!

FCC hello???????

1. My aunt says that one too. Supposedly people who go to church
once a week live longer.

3. Yeah, God's giving them more time before he has to deal with them up there
Leave 'em down here as long as possible and see if they can finally get their act together before they knock on the pearly gates.

7. Pat would probably want him assassinated.
Then he'd invite the other guy upstairs. He's such a sicko. :we need a smiley that just shakes its head:

5. Hate to say it but studies show it's true
An active participation in religious groups shows an increase in longevity. Trick is it's not god, prayer or anything mystical. It's simply socialization. Religions tend to bring people together in like minded groups. People caring for each other. Thats the big difference. And it does make a difference.

Any increase in socializing tends to increase longevity

12. Some Churchs, like 7th Day Adventists
also promote more physically healthy lifestyles (like non-smoking, no alcohol and near vegetarianism) which leads on average to longer life spans

6. Hate to disagree here but Pat Robertson's right on this one unfortunately.
People who attend a religious service reguarly - not just church - are likely to live longer lives. Studies from the Universities of Iowa, Texas and Duke have found this out in observational studies.

However, catholics and orthodox Christians risk lung cancer with all that incense.

Apparently the same has also been said for people who socialize a lot - that they live longer too. Scientists want to put it down to the social aspects of church life; of course fundamentalists want to put it down to the mere fact of going to church.

So Pat, you're right, but you can get the same benefit by going to synagogue, mosque, weekly chess club, <insert regular social activity here>.

Mark.

11. It's not that church-goers live longer ...
... it's just that all the time sitting on those hard pews listenin' to Rev'rund Billie Bob drone on and on and on about hell fire and damnation just makes the time pass much more slowly.

13. My grandfather never went to Church
he died at 95. One of his sisters never went to Church, she died at 89. His other two sisters are still alive, one never goes and she is 91, the other goes and she is 87. His older brothers never went to Church, they died at 94 and 92. His brother that's still living never goes and he is 90.
Sounds more like genetics to me.
