My letter to to the local paper in the pulse section.
Say NO to Walmart.

The Corporate giant is trying to build one of those super stores three miles from another store on the SW side of town in Grand Rapids Michigan here is my letter in the pulse section.

Ask yourself, does their really need to be another Walmart on the SW side of Grand Rapids. The idea of putting another Walmart in my neck of the woods makes my skin crawl. As Americans we should be ashamed of Walmart and the departed Sam Walton would be ashamed as well. I challenge the readers who shop at this evil corporate giant to look for anything made in America.
If you recall when Walmart first became popular it was all about made in America. When someone goes into Walmart they not only hurt the local small business they also hurt American wages. Walmart will tell you that they employee many people in their community.
The wages Walmart offers will not support a family of four.
I read that Walmart was the new number one employer in Ohio. The Delphi Bankruptcy and probable closings and many other companies going to Mexico and China for cheaper labor, when will Walmart be Michigan's number one employer.
The day of the nine dollar wage being the high end wage is this country is not far off, you can thank Walmart when that day is here.
