1. Pinhead** and Pickles are FReepers with money. No style and no class.
I can't wait until they no longer matter in any way, although to me, that is already the case.

2. First photo: "Don't let it be forgot
that once there was a spot, for happy-ever-aftering that was known as Camelot."

Second photo: "I'll get you, Batman," said Mrs. Joker.

6. I'm not a fan of "fashion" at all. but ...
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 06:52 PM by TahitiNut
... I remember "Camelot" on the heels of the suit-and-tie 50s as being both tasteful and relaxed. Folks who weren't alive in the 50s would have a hard time appreciating how incredibly repressive it was regarding clothing. Men wore suits and ties on airplanes, in theaters, at restaurants, and in church in Sundays. So did teen-aged boys. I detested the scratchy wool and the tight collars. We didn't have wash-and-wear or permanent press. Lighter, durable fabrics were more expensive. Gabardine was expensive and got shiney without care. It was miserable.

When I look at the Bushtards and the royal retards, I'd like almost nothing more than to do a "Carrie" on them. They're detestible, pretentious five-toed sloths.

12. And the men's shirts were all white.
Let's not forget those so very comfortable garter belts and girdles.

25. In honesty, I think Camilla's ok.
Shes what, 57,58 years old? I think she looks fine. Most ladies would be lucky to age so well.

And before you tell me off, check out your own Moms photos. (Or your Grandma's, depending on your age.)

11. I wasn't criticizing clothing...I was criticizing style
They aren't the same thing, even though many times good taste and style reflect in clothing.

15. Sure we do.
We've discussed Bush's rolled-up sleeves, sweaty back, thick-soled shoes, Presidential-seal cowboy boots, wrongly buttoned shirt, bicycle shorts, Village People dress-ups, "President of the United States" embroidery on jackets, and that weird box on his back under his shirt (debates). Not to mention the funny way he walks, his unibrow, hair color, and oft-bruised face. And I've seen the Bush the Pimp shot numerous times right here on DU.

I like to mock him for both big failures and trivial matters like his looks. He's just so damned worthy of mocking, and I hope that, cumulatively, mocking everything about him helps rub off that aura of "godly perfect macho man" he likes to cultivate.

23. she sure was.. It only proves that "class" is NOT for sale
You either have it or you don't.. Bush family may have lots of stolen money, but there's not enough money in the world to buy them a fraction of the class that Jackie had.

If you have to call yourselves a dynasty...you're NOT

26. I'm certain that we all have unflattering photos, but
she looks absolutely hammered and crazed! Is there any protocol for "I had too much wine with dinner and I need to compose myself a little before we walk out?" This was a state function afterall. Even if she wasn't tanked I would think that she's used to cameras by now, so why would she not brace herself before going out? I think she just lacks inner grace.

Goodness knows that I'm no slave to fashion and makeup trends. I still have clothes in my closet that I wear that are over 15 yrs. old, but some things just look wrong. All of the material and beadwork on this dress just makes her look awful and gawdy. Simple neckline with that necklace would be much more pleasing to the eye. This just looks overdone and gawdy. And who is convincing her that her clothes (formal ones) need all of the beadwork and those damned bows? Why do I sometimes have the feeling that someone is intentionally trying to make her look bad?

28. LOL! If I wore something like that in our bedroom I'm pretty sure that my
spouse would run from the room screaming! And not just because those beads could do some serious scraping and scratching.
