Do I need to let someone know if I was previously registered at DU

under a different user name/posting name. Last year I came to DU during the election fall out and then fell out of contact with DU after the new year. Since then I lost my password for access and also lost the ability to access the email that my account was attached to. So I decided to come back during the Katrina debacle and have not left since.

I didn't know if I should email someone so that can clean up their files and also to see if they can add all of my old post to my current file.

Lastly does anyone know if you can change your posting name?
I have tried to do it manually in my options but it doesn't seem to set. Is this possible? I have thought of a much better name since creating this account, or are you stuck with the name that you created the account with?
