Election Corruption: What can you do to STOP IT?

Like many of you, I have voted ALL OF MY LIFE and am a die-hard Democrat. I risked everything to help elect John Kerry. Why did I do this? I did it because I hadn't worked hard enough for Al Gore. I was too busy earning a living and belileved he was headed for a landslide victory. Knowing now what we didn't know then, we may have looked into fraud in more states than Florida. It may have been a landslide as well. I have worked since Nov 2, 2004 to support the election fraud investigations. I have STOOD UP against the machines. I have STOOD UP for those who STOOD UP for us. My DU home page is set to Election Reform. I read, comment and recommend the posts there. When is the last time you visited that forum? When is the last time you attended a Board of Elections meeting? When is the last time you have written or called your representatives? When is the last time you attended a FAIR ELECTIONS RALLY? When is the last time you distributed copies of the GAO report? Have you ever read "What went wrong in Ohio?" let alone the Bob Fitrakis book? Have you ever attended a workshop for election reform?

PLEASE do not misunderstand me, this is not an attempt to encourage voters to stay home, this is an attempt to rally GOOD DUers to help us fight to obtain the right to have our votes COUNTED in an accurate method! (the linked posts referred to above were regarding people who have told us they were staying home because their vote doesn’t count) We cannot do this without a unified front. We need to DEMAND VOTER VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS. Furthermore, for those of you that quote HAVA and sit behind the excuse that "We can't do anything about it as DRE's are the law because of HAVA", have you ever stopped to consider that maybe if we make enough noise ANOTHER BILL COULD BE PASSED? Oh for you naysayers that think that we cannot get a FAIR ELECTIONS BILL through congress – think again! The average Republican out on the streets across this nation also WANTS FAIR ELECTIONS! If you don’t believe me, talk to them. Not in an accusatory manner, but talk hypothetically. What if Teresa Heinz Kerry or Hillary Clinton purchased the machines? Would they want or trust a Democrat machine to count their vote? And don’t think they don’t realize what went down Nov 2nd. Many of them voted for Kerry. Many of them donated money to Kerry. Think about it, we had the majority. We have even a larger majority now. Look at the polls that have been recently taken regarding the approval ratings of the chosen one. Do you think these people actually believe the election was fair and square?

We haven’t EVER had a better time in this past year to stand UNIFIED against the election corruption. I am doing my part. Are you? Can we unify our common ground for this common purpose? How can we convince those who came out last year for the first time ever, to come back again when we cannot assure them of a fair election? The only way we can accomplish this is with unification of our voices backed up by the Democrat party and the Democrats in Congress.

I do not think that ANY one of us really want to see what happened last year EVER happen again. So, can we all spend some time in Election Reform forum and put our heads together to fight for our right to have our votes counted? There hasn’t been a better time than NOW!
