Anyone here watch E-Ring? Great CIA leak plotline going on
starting this week (I think it was on yesterday or today).

It's insane, and makes a LOT of good points about what happens when you out a CIA agent.

Plus, it's got Benjamin Bratt... and I'll watch anything with him in it. Basically, I'll watch anything with ANY Law & Order character in it but he's one of my favorites.

1. I have been avoiding that show.
I saw the previews for next week, though. Apparently it is a two-parter.

Is it really worth it? Not just wingnut propaganda?

2. It's just as much propaganda as Alias. Very good show IMHO.

3. They have their moments of 'wingnutishness'..
..but overall it is a very good show. My wife and I are hooked. The current theme of the last several episodes as about how the politicians, both inside the pentagon and the cia, are a bunch of bastards that do nothing when it comes to national security but do everything to score points, cover their arses and protect their own interests...

A pleasant surprise I must say...

6. It's good at showing the craziness between the different parts of the
government, and does highlight how the forged Niger documents bypassed the CIA through the Pentagon. Not hard to push things past one branch when they refuse to share.

To me, it shows how dysfunctional the government is, and how things SHOULD happen (if we didn't have a chickenhawk president). They do promote military, but they promote it in a 'show of force' only, and not blowing the hell out of everyone alive, like our current military is doing.
