"Serving the Administration" vs the country

Something Senator Shelby said last night on Larry King jumped out at me. He said that the CIA "did not serve this administration well" with their supposedly faulty intelligence. That's bullshit. Career federal employees serve the United States - NOT the current administration. We do the job regardless of who's in the Oval Office. A lot of my co-workers thought that Clinton was Satan Incarnate because he cut the Defense budget, but they still did their jobs. Ironically, a lot of them still support *, even though he frelled them over ten times worse than Clinton ever did!
