Fitzgerald met with Bush's lawyer yesterday. I suspect conspiracy charges
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 05:26 PM by goodboy
are forthcoming, the reasons being:

1. Fitz says in his own words the investigation into "other matters" continues.

2. Everyone else in the Admin. has committed the same crimes as Libby, with mounds of evidence to support that claim.

3. It's well known that the WHIG conspired to lie about the reasons for war...lie to sell it to the American people and the world, and to silence critics, shut down debate...punish those who dared question them or call them on their lies...

4. Fitz meets with Bush's personal attorney today.

Ever seen a demonstration with ping pong balls and mouse traps?

Here's a video: The first ball to drop is Libby's indictment...

The rest is..well...history.

LINK DISCUSSING FITZ`s MEETING WITH SHRUB`s ATTY.

ctober 29, 2005 -- 03:03 PM EDT)

Anyone have any insight on this graf from 'Libby Charged' article in today's Times?

Mr. Fitzgerald was spotted Friday morning outside the office of James Sharp, Mr. Bush's personal lawyer. Mr. Bush was interviewed about the case by Mr. Fitzgerald last year. It is not known what discussions, if any, were taking place between the prosecutor and Mr. Sharp. Mr. Sharp did not return a phone call, and Mr. Fitzgerald's spokesman, Randall Samborn, declined to comment.

39. Bush always liked these lyrics from Winter Wonderland !
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Bwha-ahahahahahahahahahahahhaha!

7. Mmmm- "other matters"- now that's a hopeful thought....
I like that and I like your reasoning! Plus, with all the ups and downs of the past 24 hours (and there have been more downs then up), it's time for something positive. Let's all focus our intention and visualize the manifestation of "other matters".

I'm curious- where did you read that Fitz met with Bush's attorney today?

Wonder what they are drinking this weekend at Camp David. Probably not celebrating with champagne...

They're probably self-medicating. Good-boy does bring up an interesting point. It also explains why Harriet Meirs was was loaded onto the helicopter when he left for Camp David after his Libby statement. I wonder what she's counseling him on?

I found it very strange how he met with Bush's lawyer for this case. I had no idea that Bush even had a lawyer for this case. Very very telling. I've always had this sense that he was going after someone really important. Who knows. This could be Watergate part two but hopefully it'll go much faster. It appears to be that way anyways.

29. Yes. This is significant because this is Bush`s `PERSONAL`` attorney..and
not SCOTUS reject Harriet Miers.

I think Fitz`is pulling the same play as Earle did with DeLay...

Filed one count...DeLay runs his mouth arrogantly...

Slaps him with conspiracy...BAM!

Checkmate.

28. Maybe they're offering him a SCOTUS nomination?
There has to be something they can do to derail this train before Libby starts thinking how much jail time his loyalty is really worth. Offering Fitz a SCOTUS shot would be properly denounced all over the world, but only a fool would think THAT would give the Bushoids any pause.

30. Here is more: Did Fitz Meet With Bush's Personal Lawyer?

RJ Eskow

Did Fitz Meet With Bush's Personal Lawyer?

Patrick Fitzgerald was seen Friday outside the office of Pres. Bush's personal lawyer, Jim Sharp - who is apparently the same Jim Sharp who represented a major Iran/Contra figure. One, two, three ... start your impeachment fantasies.

No Blood for Hubris found this graf in the former "Paper of Record":

Mr. Fitzgerald was spotted Friday morning outside the office of James Sharp, Mr.Bush's personal lawyer.

No Blood also links to Raw Story, which says this about Sharp:

The only other president to hire a private attorney for acts committed while president, Richard Nixon, eventually resigned from office.

Sharp long has cloaked himself in secrecy, even taking the unusual move of paying to have his address and telephone number removed from the major Martindale legal directory. He was an assistant district attorney before he came to Washington and has a history of taking on cases with political implications.

Sharp’s highest profile client was Maj. Gen. Richard V. Secord, a major figure in the Iran-Contra scandal who helped Lt. Col. Oliver North accumulate untaxed wealth in overseas accounts.

Before our hearts start racing (oops ... too late) let's take a deep breath and remember: this could be absolutely routine. The Special Prosecutor could have a few simple questions. Fitz's dentist could have an office in the same building. Still, the mind reels ...

36. THE WHITE HOUSE OBLIGATIONS UNDER EXECUTIVE ORDER 12958
Under the executive order, the White House has an affirmative obligation to investigate and take remedial action separate and apart from any ongoing criminal investigation. The executive order specifically provides that when a breach occurs, each agency must “take appropriate and prompt corrective action.”
