1. Any answer I give will simply be a guess.
It's far too early to tell.

4. Never a trial
He can skip the country in a heartbeat with the aid of the WH, vice president, rove, or on his own! No one would bring him back! He could even join osama in his mansion in Saudi Arabia or go where ever Gannon went!???

5. Would Junior risk a trial
that would bring to light the corruption of his administration? HELL NO!
Libby will be pardoned pre-trial, count on it.

6. He will plea bargain...
...for a much reduced sentence, give up information hopefully on Cheney, and then be pardoned in 2009 as Bush leaves office, assuming he doesn't get impeached first.

Would be a bad distraction - the WH just wants this all to go away.

7. This is assuming someone else doesn't give Cheney up.....
If that happens then all bets are off. He will plead guilty and take his sentence. If Fitz drags him back in front of a GJ he will take the fifth. He will serve a couple of years and be pardoned upon * leaving office

8. Only if his masters can convince him to lay down in front of the bus.
Imaginary converstation:

Fitz: Mr. Libby, if you give us Cheney, you get to wear a bracelet and stay at home for 6 months. If Rove, or anybody else, gives us Cheney, you get to spend a lot of time making friends with guys named "Truck", "Diesel", and "Machete-man".

Scooter: Oh! You mean Richard Cheney! I thought you meant Raymond Cheney! Well, maybe I can help you out.
