1. I thought about that, too.
I'll search my blog for it.

10. So Oct 15th Rove testifies 3rd time, and Oct 19 your blog has it

that he laid down before the plane, not known what he said, a private joke between him and the Prez.

Well, that confirms what I was thinking.

On edit, also that article from the NY Daily News the other day that said that Bush made Rove's life hell after he found out Rove had been involved. What if this was a visual admission of Rove that he wasn't gonna let Bush down and keep the secret. "I'll make sure you win the election, Bubba".

2. What date, specifically?
I don't know. Shortly before the election, something about Rove joking he would let the plane run over him before he would let bush lose or some such nonsense as that? That wasn't what he said, but the gist of it. Perhaps it was in approximately September or October of '04.

5. I recall it being described as part of some sort of private joke
between Bush & Rove, with the press excluded from the joke.

8. Perhaps they were comparing fat tires?
Seriously, though, I thought it had something to do with the election. Maybe I'm confabulating.

9. I believe
it was an excuse for Rove wigging out.

3. If I remember correctly,
it was during the heat of election season last year (meaning sometime between August and November). Sorry I can't be more specific, and I may be completely wrong.

6. I believe that's correct.
Bush was flying somewhere, using taxpayer money for using Air Force One to go out and campaign for his re-'election'. They showed a photo of Rove in a black overcoat, laying under the plane. I think it was about to take off.

Rove was smiling as he lay next to the wheels. The article said something like, "Rove lays down for president".

This man has earned the reputation of being a "prankster" or a clown. I find nothing funny about him, at all.

He's destroyed a lot of people in his long shameful career.

7. TIME, 10/19/04: Rove Testifies in Wilson Leak (3rd GJ appearance)
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 12:28 PM by DeepModem Mom
(See displacedtexan's post #4, dating Rove's sit-down on 10/19/04.)

Posted Friday, Oct. 15, 2004

Karl Rove, one of President Bush’s top White House aides, testified this morning before a federal grand jury investigating the leak of a CIA operative's name by administration sources. Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald questioned Rove about his contacts with journalists in what a source familiar with Rove's situation said was his third appearance before the grand jury. "My client appeared voluntarily before the grand jury and has cooperated with the investigation since it began," said Rove's attorney Robert Luskin. "He has been assured in writing as recently as this week that he is not a target of the investigation."...

***

Novak’s status continues to be a mystery; neither he nor his lawyer, Jim Hamilton, will talk about their contacts with prosecutors. Lawyers for other witnesses in the case have concluded that Novak is cooperating, since he has not been held in contempt. But even if Novak is cooperating and has revealed his sources, these lawyers say, Fitzgerald would want to talk to other journalists to strengthen any case he might bring. And the prosecutor may be seeking to substantiate a Sept. 2003 Washington Post story, which quoted an administration source saying that two top White House officials disclosed Plame's identity to at least six Washington journalists in retribution for Wilson's comments. The leak was "meant purely and simply for revenge," the official said. Fitzgerald might want to learn if those two officials were the same ones who talked to Novak. Each instance of disclosure of Plame's identity would be a separate crime.
