WIN Place or Show? Horse race analogys and putting things in perspective
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 10:44 AM by Fescue4u
In horse race terms, I think that this was a show.

Which of course is still a win and a net positive, and you'll never go broke showing.

The Trifecta would of course be Bush & Cheney impeached, rove & Libby indicted...It seems to me that a win would be Rove, and Libby indicted. Place (2nd) would be Libby indicted for leaking.

What we got was an indictment for lying about the crime (ala Martha stewart), imo 3rd place and a show.

I know that Fitz is saying thats its ongoing etc, but thats what prosecutors always say when they dont get everything they wanted...its to keep the bad guys on edge. I seriously doubt that there will be further indictments ( I hope Im wrong, but thats the way I see it)

But its still a net positive for the country and as long as we keep making gains like this, we'll get the country back

1. Here's another simile: this was like trench warfare.

A slow slog through the muck to take a meaningless hill on a map of nowhere in a small country between here and there.

But, at least THEY are on the defensive, for a change. I'll take it, but the celebration isn't Times Square, August 15, 1945
