yes me too, it makes me wonder if Judith Miller didn't testify to help avoid damaging the Bush so he could win re-election.

14. Thanks !
I was listening to the press conference live on air america during a break at work, but Al Franken cut it off for a commerical break (yikes) and then I had to go back to work. Talk about frustrating.

4. DU'er fooj has posted the same thing
fooj wrote that Miller stayed in jail rather than expose the administration. It's a very interesting post.

and slap Miller with an obstruction charge, at the very least.

8. Just because the aspens were turning in clumps?
as they always do? Judas needs to spend a bit more than 85 days in the can IMO. A couple of years will probably make the point.

7. It's what happened. Now we need a Civil Suit. "Tampering with an
Election." Who will bring the suit? Charge Judy and see what falls out of the woodwork. It will never happen, but still it needs to be investigated.

I remember when Fitz got the extension last October and so many of us were upset back then because we had hoped that he would be able to indict someone just before the election and it would have helped us alot steer the story from Swift Boat Liars.

Since Judy and Libby were so close it seems logical that with Karl Rove getting involved it would have been a great political coup to have Judy withold her testimony so as to delay the case.

Maybe Fitz suspect that went on...but there's nothing much he can do about it at this point considering his investigation has to be so narrow.

16. It's morally hundreds of times worse than insider trading.
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 04:19 PM by TahitiNut
As loose and lax as laws regarding corporate disclosure of material information are, this cover-up and obstruction preceding the 2004 General Election is far, far worse. These crimes were ALL committed in the first-term WHite House and the most damaging impact of the lying and obstruction was to perpetrate a fraud on an electorate that is spoon-fed headlines from their local propaganda outlets.

Justice delayed is justice denied. The injustices imposed on this nation (and world) by these people are abominable.

17. No--he couldn't because of LIBBY.
It was Libby that took him and the jurors off track with most of the reporter BS.

Libby's sole job was to derail the investigation so that Fitz couldn't do the job he was instructed to do.

15. It is the NY Times lawyers finagling that drew out the investigation. Most
publishers are GOP regardless of the editorial slant of the paper.
