1. Yeah, I thought about that too
Disgusting that * would be sympathetic. Just shows you how arrogant and stupid he is. I swear he has no clue that Toto pulled that curtain back years ago!

3. I thought the same thing
He should have congratulated Fitzgerald and the staff on their patriotic work in attempting to ferret out the treasonous law-breaker.

He should be sad--not for Libby--but for Plame and the other agents that were affected. He should be sad that a man that high up in his government was a liar.

Hahahahahaha. I forgot for a second. We are through the looking-glass where right is wrong and up is down and sadness is reserved for the perpetrators and not the victims.

14. And I don't think Fitz has missed this, about Bush NOT thanking him
for a job well done. He'll file it away in his internal notepad - just more clue about this conspiracy..........

5. It occurred to me that these asshats
can't help but leave telltale signs of truth in their expressed sentiments. What struck me was his use of the phrase that "Libby has sacrificed much for his country"......Just what sacrifice was he talking about? Did Libby ever join the military? Lose a limb? Go without food and medical treatment? Self educate so others could attend Yale?

Noooooo--he sacrificed by falling on his sword for the team.

7. Maybe he's sad that thousands have died
due to an invasion based on fake intelligence and a scheme of lies including uranium from Niger and he's just NOW realizing it with this investigation. Maybe that's what he means when he says he's saddened. :sarcasm:

8. "shame on your sick administration."
If I understand correctly, a prosecutor is a representative of the PEOPLE. You've heard the saying, "the people rest your honor".

That said, * is an employee of the PEOPLE.
If the PEOPLE are bringing the charges, then the PEOPLE believe him to be guilty of the charges and will attempt to prove it with a trial.

Stay with me now.

As an employee of the PEOPLE, then it stands to reason that * should show his loyalty to his employers(We the PEOPLE), not his fellow employees(Scooter, I don't recall, Libby)

So to answer your question:
Shouldn't a president be fucking OUTRAGED???

Absofuckinglutely!!

9. Not only that..but Scooter "sacrificed for this country"...
That pissed me off and still does.
What about the now 2015 Americans who have recently sacrificed for this country due to Scooter Libby's successful lies?

No, * laments the lies that caught out his Admin.
Makes sense to me.

NOT.

And this is honor? integrity back in the WH?

13. Why is he "saddened"? Because Scooter commited a crime, or
because Scooter got caught. I suspect he is saddened because he got caught.

15. I was also struck by this. Eulogizing Scooter, and acting so sad.
This was a FEDERAL prosecutor who brought charges. Aren't they supposed to be on the same side?

17. Yeah, he said, "We're all saddened."
Speak for yourself, you jerk.

He went on to talk about how much Libby had done for his country.

What Bull.

I can think of thousands of people who every day do a hell of a lot more FOR their country, including me, and WE don't get any Presidential praise, ever.

For our efforts, we get squeezed financially, have our elections stolen and are lied to every day on every subject by this bunch.

Some of us get smeared for our efforts, and some of us even get killed in their disgusting war.

His statement yesterday simply nauseated me.

18. Completely inappropriate response.
Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 02:01 PM by LibDemAlways
A more measured response would have been to thank Mr. Fitzgerald for his investigation and indicate that despite the seriousness of the charges against him, Mr. Libby at this point enjoys the presumption of innocence and the legal process will continue.

Chimp just looked and sounded ridiculous.
