An important quote to remember during these times...
From "Million Dollar Baby"...

"Sometimes the best way to deliver a punch is to step back."

Fitzgerald got into the ring and delivered a nice left hook to Libby. He has an extremely strong case for perjury and obstruction of justice. The facts, and eyewitness testimony from Russert and others--clearly demonstrate that Libby is lying.

Now, it's time for Libby to think about how long 30 years is.

It's also a good time for Rove to think long and hard about what Libby is experiencing--because soon--that will be Rove's destiny. Fitzgerald takes seriously the crime of perjury and the nation is impressed with Fitzgerald--and they trust him. They believe him. Rove has met his match with this credible, impressive, formidable opponent who can obliterate the daily, right-wing talking points--with a few concise sentences. Rove can's spin his way out of this. Fitzgerald knows Rove lied, and he can prove it. Novak is waiting in the wings--ready to reveal that Rove was his source. Rove knows that.

Again...

"Sometimes the best way to deliver a punch is to step back."

Fitzgerald gave these guys just enough rope to hang themselves--and by lying--they have tightened the noose around their own necks. There is nowhere for them to go, except prison.

Now, we wait and watch as this house of cards crumbles.

"Sometimes the best way to deliver a punch is to step back."

1. Enough rope, indeed.
Fitzgerald knows Rove lied, and he can prove it. Novak is waiting in the wings--ready to reveal that Rove was his source. Rove knows that.

Well put. I also think Cheney knows that Scooter will go to the slammer to protect him—if it comes to that—and he doesn't give a damn.

Expect another presser from Fitz shortly before the midterm elections in '06 in which he will announce indictments galore—if the whole despicable mob hasn't turned on each other by then.

2. I don't think the world will last that long,
if they don't start falling away!

The boy king is like a rat cornered ... dangerous. The cabal will do anything to keep their power.
