The Consequences of Outing a CIA Operative
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 11:15 PM by KerryOn
To endanger the life of an undercover CIA agent is a felony. You either believe in taking the laws of the United States seriously or you do not.

The life of Valerie Plame was put in jeopardy and the life of anyone working with her or associated with her was also in jeopardy. That would include every single agent working in the cover company that Valerie worked for. How many ongoing investigations and how many agents did this destroy? What ongoing intelligence gathering was lost or canceled because of it, and how does this affect our national security?

The lives of any agents working for the governments of our allies that were ever associated with or currently working with Valerie were also put in jeopardy.

Any ongoing investigation and intelligence gathering by Valerie and our allies could have been exposed or put in jeopardy, which cold endanger our country and our allies national security at a time when it is most crucial.

All the agents currently working in deep under cover must be thinking twice about weather they still want to be a CIA operative. At any time the evil men in the WH could blow their cover, if they don’t return the information that supports the administrations plans and policies.

Our allies and other foreign governments will no longer trust us, and many may not be willing to share critical information with us regarding our national security our theirs.

The way I see it the CIA is now in disarray, at a time when it is critical to national security to have the best possible intelligence to protect us from terrorism.

On Edit: This is no laughing matter, and this investigation is no not over by a long shot. You can count on it!
