POLL: How Much Will Indictment Affect Bush's Approval?
By how much do you think blowback from the Libby indictment will affect Bush's approval?


A) A few percentage points of fluctuation downwards.
B) 5% downward
C) 10% downward
D) 15% downward
E) 20+% downward
F) No effect

2. A) The people who still support Bush
don't believe in things like "evolution" or "electricity", and so I doubt they even know there was an indictment today.

I think he's already scraping the bottom, is what I mean to say. His remaining support is with fundamentalists and real right-wing wackos, and they'll never abandon him.

Well- unless he nominates a non-fundamentalist for the SCOTUS. The SCOTUS nomination has the potential to hurt his numbers more than the indictments did.

4. I think B, Bush has revealled he places loyalty above the law
He stood in front of America praising a man who soon will be proved a felon.

That adds to his problem with cronyism and also is threatens the soundness of his judgement, for the second time this week.

5. There are too many things blowing back simulaneously for the
effect of any one to be gauged separately. There are several million people in Florida who probably are unaware of the indictment because they are conserving their batteries. They probably are not happy with either Bush right now.
