Poll question: Why the long shot of Bush walking to the podium after every disaster?
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 07:19 PM by Plaid Adder
Before his announcement about the Scooter indictment, and before his speech from New Orleans after Katrina, they insisted on staging this long walk across empty space toward the podium. :wtf: What's that about?

1. The walk isnt so bad......
its that stupid wave he gives to some unseem people as those anybody is happy to see him. When he wiggles his hand and fingers, I want to puke.
He probably wont let on but I bet * doesnt realize there is only ONE FINGER waving back at him.

:hi:

3. Beats me
They always have him making a long walk and it always makes me laugh because he walks like he's got something stuck up his butt.

9. He wiggles his fingers when his hands are at his side, too.
I noticed recently that when he walked (strutted, or whatever that two- legged forward motion action he does is called) along with his arms hanging straight down and palms facing backwards, as usual, he was wiggling his fingers on his left hand. I think that's also the hand with which he performs the wiggle-wave. Maybe his fingers on that hand just wiggle, so he has adapted his wave to that condition?

2. Cameramen are working stiffs. They are hoping to catch a shot
of the fearless leader falling on his face live and uncut. Bush is always late for everything, so they are able to get these shots at every appearance.

5. They used to have RayGun jog down the hallway....
I thought at the time it was to show invigoration as in "Hey, I'm not that old!" but now I realize that if he walked he would have forgotten where he was going.

It is hilarious to watch * find his "mark". Especially in groups. You can always see him looking at the floor to make sure everyone is in place.

8. The walk before the Katrina speech was THE best. So CREEPY.
He just came out from behind a shrub and sort of stalked through what looked like a cemetary lawn. Made me think of a Living Dead movie.

11. It is to show how very ALONE he is, no one wants to share the
spotlight, also it emphasizes his simian characteristics with palms facing backwards stride, I haven't seen these types of dynamics since Nixon. It is truly eerie.
