4. I'm shocked, I tell ya
:sarcasm:

I suspect Karl wants to rat out the neocons, so everyone won't notice when he goes to work for the Republican nominee in 08

5. Peter Yost of the AP wrote the article.
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/politics/20051028-1546-cialeak-officiala.html

The damning paragraph:

Friday's indictment says "Official A" is a "senior official in the White House who advised Libby on July 10 or 11 of 2003" about a chat with Novak about his upcoming column in which Plame would be identified as a CIA employee.

...

Late Friday, three people close to the investigation, each asking to remain unidentified because of grand jury secrecy, identified Rove as Official A.

7. So this is how the indictment should read...
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 07:24 PM by FreeState
Page 8 section 21:

"On or about July 10 or July 11, 2003, LIBBY spoke to senior official in the White House, Karl Rove, who advised LIBBY of a conversation he (Karl Rove) had earlier that week with columnist Robert Novak in which Wilson's Wife was discussed as a CIA employee involved in Wilson's trip. LIBBY was advised by Karl Rove that Novak would be writing a story about Wilson's wife."

So Rove outed Plame to Novak and is now screwed...
