Shouldn't Pat Robertson be in jail or GITMO?
Just think if Jesse Jackson had made those statement about blowing up the State Department.

Isn't Pat guilty of at least 'incitement to terrorism?'
Where is the outrage? The media is hardly printing the story. It would have been plastered all over the front pages if Al of Jesse had said something even similar.

The problem with the Dems is that they just let things die and fade from view.

1. Hint
Pat Robertson is a personal friend of President DipShit. The corporate media is a lapdog of the GOP.

Connect the dots.

2. Answer to SL: Yes, he should. Argument about last line:
We don't let things die. The media just is too damn lazy to pursue stories that might actually require some effort on their part.

If you think I'm wrong, consider this:

Suppose Watergate happened last year. Now think of the work W & B put into it. Would we have known if, say, Wolf Blitzer was pursuing the story?

'Nuff said, I trust?

3. Yes, I'm going to write my Republican pig congressman
and ask him why this leader of an extremist religious group who has twice now called for the bombing of the State Dept. is not in jail. Can't wait to see his excuses and spin on this one.

4. jesse helms told Bill Clinton
he'd best stay outta N carolina military bases as he'd be shot (a federal crime, as documented by Lewis Lapham in his book 'barbarians at the gates(?))...
truth has become a killer toxin to honest news reportage in america/the world.....the Big Lie is becoming almost too massive to dislodge, and even dems etc are thinking it much easier live with 'urban legend' political history ie clinton vandalised white house last day, then correct the litatny of fabricated bullshit that now forms the record; punks like robertson know this and know they only in danger if entire monstrosity knocked down...
Remember Bill Frist tortured CATS/KITTENS during his school days? Remember flight 587 was proclaimed an ACCIDENT by media even though cops/firemen were still saying they saw the explosion that brought it down? Remember the 18181 vote margins several republicrats won by during '02 midterm? Remember the phone call from b olsen that couldn't have happened? Remember the pics of 19 hijackers the FBI produced on day after 911 (which proves the coverage of event prepared)? Remember remember remember....

6. A 10 yr old girl was arrested
a few days ago for threatening to blow up her school - yet we have the evil Robertson walking around spouting off his hatred forever.

12. What Robertson said, is indeed absurd...
and is in violation of the Patriot Act he so adores.

But I'm not sure Gitmo is the answer. After all, he'll go into the old, "they're persecuting me because I believe in Jesus", speil.

Rather, I think he should get a serious psychological evaluation. The few times I have seen the jerk, I have seen NOTHING of the teachings of Christ, and an awful lot of his personal views on morality. He will fall with a loud thunk in the future, just as the others have. After all, we are supposed to be on the lookout for 'false prophets' and those that come in the name of Christ.

Evil people have always used the name of God to pursue their own agendas, (notice bush?).

In any case, Robertson, Falwell and the others, need to get a touch of old time religion "fear of God", and quit speaking like they are they prophets of the 21st century.

14. The people who the US government more than Osama are funddies and
RWingnuts like Rush and Hannity Coulter and O'Reilly. Just go back over their transcripts from their shows and see how many times they speak against the US government. they hate the US government. They claim that the government is unfairly taking citizen's money through taxes, they claim that the government through by its liberal-leaning leftists organizations (social programs) is destroying America, government sponsored programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security ought to abolished, and so on and so on. On more they one occassion they have incited whackos to take violent action against the government. In short, they believe as Osama does that the US government is evil, especially if it takes any effort to help the downtrodden. The only thing they love about this government is the military-industrial complex and the way the government gives a pass to big business. The recent statement by Pat Robertson qualifies as a statement to incite terrorism and I am mad as hell that the media and Ashcroft are giving him a HUGE pass on this!

17. YES YES YES YES!
I'm sick of this double-standard. If Robertson was a Muslim, he'd be in Gitmo right now, and probably executed in a military tribunal.

18. Double standards ahoy!
This nutball makes comments that would surely land any other good Amercian in the graybar motel for the rest of their lives, but he skates off since he has his good buddy and fellow god fearing right wing whacko Asscroft right by his side and in his pocket to save his stupid Christian coalition ass from all the ill-publicity that he truely deserves.

The sooner the Christian Coalition, CBN, Pat Robertson and John Ashcroft are out of power and out of view the better off we'll all be.

19. My Take Re: Pat Robertson
I posted this on a different thread...but now tha someone else has taken up the call re: Pat Robertson, I'll cut and paste it here.

Pat Robertson's Comments Re: State Department

I will not repeat them here, lest I end up accused of making the statement...but I got it in an email from a friend. Apparently, Pat Robertson was rebuked for his comments re: the State Department.

What do you think woulda happened to any of US...had we made the comment Pat Robertson did about the State Department?

Wanna bet we'd answer a knock on the door in the middle of the night, and find ourselves magically transported to a military brig and labelled an "enemy combatant?" (Can you spell P-A-T-R-I-O-T A-C-T?? I knew you could!!)

So why not Robertson?

Well, of course...because he votes REPUKE!!!

See, that's also why Flush Limpballs will get no jail time. It's Florida, Jeb's Governor...he will get the Noelle Bush special treatment. Anyone seeing the pattern yet?

If ya wanna get away with crime in this country, be known as a REPUKE voter. If you're a Democrat...you'd better watch your ass!

(EDIT) I would have posted what Robertspn said, as well...except that I now fear my Government even more than I fear the terrorists! I was afraid that if I posted what Robertson said, I'd end up accused of making the statements myself!

Paranoia?

Maybe.

But these times...and this Administration...IMHO, desrve paranoia!

Sad when an American citizen becomes as afraid of their own government as I am now afraid of mine.

23. I used to think that Robertson was a self-serving pathological liar
But now I realize that this is no longer the case.

He is clearly senile. He is insane, his brain went on vacation and has been on vacation for quite some time now.

But that doesn't excuse the hate speech he spouts out almost daily..

24. If everyone who contributes hundreds to the 700 Club would give $10
to their public school system every month...the funding problem for public schools in the Bible Belt would be resolved.
