burial at Arlington National Cemetery
this person called Hart, a then-powerful member of the Senate Intelligence Oversight Committee, to see if he could intervene on behalf of Welch's family, in order that he receive burial rights at the cemetery. What's particularly interesting about this is that Ford was pres then, and the contactee was also a pug, soon to become powerful in his own right, then VERY very powerful.
In case that name doesn't ring a bell, he was one CIA agent-station CHIEF in Athens-who was apparently the victim of public outing, and the name most cite as an example of why Bush 41 pushed for the Intelligence Identities Protection Act (IIPA) of 1982.
I promise, the irony couldn't be....'Rich'er.
