Absence of leadership: Why isn’t the President firing Rove?
With the imminent indictment of top members of the White House about to come down, does anyone think that it is unfortunate, if not reprehensible, that our the president has not acted in firing members of his staff that have in all likelihood committed crimes?

“A possibility has been raised by several sources that a death may have occurred as a result of this leak. Under the Espionage Act, this could lead to a death penalty case. The CIA Wall of Honor has stars representing agents killed on duty. Named stars are used where information is not classified, and anonymous stars are used when the agent's name cannot be released. Below the stars is a chronological Book of Honor. An anonymous star was added to the wall between named stars that can be dated to deaths on February 5, 2003 and October 25, 2003. The anonymous star thus fits the timing of the Plame leak. Wayne Madsen, a reporter and former NSA employee, has claimed, "CIA sources report that at least one anonymous star placed on the CIA's Wall of Honor at its Langley, Virginia headquarters is a clandestine agent who was executed in a hostile foreign nation as a direct result of the White House leak."

How many more people does this administration plan on killing before it’s time is up?

"Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence."
Thomas Jefferson

2. Individual LOYALTY above all other values.
It's the ol' Crime Family ethic. If Rove were to violate the Oath of Loyalty, he'd be offed. As long as he lies and spins, he'll be taken care of in the Extended Familia -- well-paid jobs forever. Karl won't do a Fredo.

3. You are assuming Bush has authority inside the WH
that could be a bad assumption when we are talking about Rove.

5. Rove and * are both spiteful manipulative slugs. They are
covering each other's tushes. Probably mutual blackmail.

7. For the same reason an infant
does not rip its own umbilical cord apart. For the same reason I would not decapitate myself. For the same reason Shroeder in the Peanuts cartoon could not let go of his blanket.

And, add "Cowardice" as well, and a total failure of moral fortitude.

10. Because he cannot imagine that anyone cares about some
executed agent in some foreign country, because aren't we all out here in the hinterlands to serve and to die? Why, don't we just love to sacrifice ourselves for our betters, as * et al consider themselves to be? What's the problem with dying for your masters? You should be proud! :puke:
