Why are they really flogging this Mo Dowd column about Miller so much on the news? Is is because she as had the guts to say what people at the NYT really think about her? It isn't like Dowd doesn't have a history of really going after people. I know that is the reason that her column is a must read for me, not only she is fiercely bright, but she takes out people and pulls no punches. I think that the big thing to come out of the interview with Imus was how she took a shot at Rush and the tactics that the right uses with women who dare speak their mind, the go right away at their love life, calling them sluts and what-not.

That's how the media plays it.

I don't have a dog in that catfight. They are both preening princesses. I'll take Molly Ivins any day.

3. She said when she speaks out it's Catty but that Tom Friedman is never

called into question when he writes. A great observation by MoDo and that she said it on Imus was good.

I've always liked her, even though I know some DU'ers don't like her style of writing
