One of tonight's talking points from over at Freeperville.
I just took another trip to Freeperville tonight, to see what their talking points for the evening are.
One of them is that NBC news had a "gleeful" report on the 2,000th death in Iraq.
Now I saw NBC Nightly News, and I saw nothing "gleeful" in their reporting.
They simply reported the fact: that 2,000 of our sons and daugthers have been killed in Iraq. And because they had the audacity to do that, the Freepers say it was a "gleeful" report.
"Tonight on NBCs evening news, after the gleeful reporting of the 2,000th combat death in Iraq, giving only passing mention to the fact that 79% of the voters in Iraq approved of the Iraqi Constitution and Bill of Rights, describing later that the people are still "divided", NBC went on to their continuing biased coverage of Plame-gate, There was either a deliberate lie, or a blatant example of lazy ineptness on behalf of the script David Gregory was reading. The comment was to the effect of "…regarding the phone conversations of Karl Rove, and whether or not he "outed" Valerie Plame last year, who at the time was a covert agent with the CIA". That is a blatant lie when compared to the facts. Valerie Plame had not been a covert agent with the CIA since 1998, seven years ago now, over five years before her name was supposedly "leaked". The Intelligence Protection Act only criminalizes the release of the name of someone who had been covert agent within the past three years...."
