I just got back from about a two hour car trip and had the unfortunate experience of being tuned into Limbaugh for the last 1/2 hour or so of his show and about 45 minutes of (Ins)Hannity. They were almost like a tag team...it went something like this:

Limbaugh...Wilson lied, Wilson Lied, The media is liberal and did you know that Wilson lied?

Hanity...Wilson lied and Fitz is being used by the liberals and there was no "underlying crime" (e.g. A secret agent wasn't outed, she wasn't covert and even if she was her own husband outed her but that's alright because it wasn't a crime anyway) the indictments for perjury and obstruction are because those two good men (Libby and Rove) couldn't remember certain conversations. And by the way, Schumer is using Wilson (by the way Wilson lied) to get to Bush and the REAL LIBERAL agenda is to impeach Bush and Cheney or at least damage them with Wilson's lies.

Hannity said he would like to have Joe Wilson on the show so he could confront him with his lies...which were (from my memory here)

Cheney sent him
He examined the documents
He wasn't qualified to go on the trip
He said there wasn't any deal to sell yellowcake but "intelligence" said there was.


Oh yeah, one more thing: John Kerry, John Edwards, Hillary Clinton all said that Saddam had the weapons so if Bush lied so did they...

Sheeeeeeessssshhhhhh.........I'm glad to be away from that and get Randi Rhodes back on.

Sounds to me like a classic case of innoculation. Hannity and Limbaugh know something bad is about to happen to their boys so they're poisoning the well as fast as they can.

4. In a weird way

Some caller tried to tell Rush that Repubs saying that Perjury is a technicality is hypocritical in view of what they did to Clinton. Rush said that was ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. You see, Clinton was "convicted" of lying to a grand jury and was disbarred and banned from practicing in front of the Supreme Court...(he cut the caller off) and said "This is entirely different". :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Clinton wasn't convicted of lying to a grand jury. He plea bargained to end the Jones matter and part of that was giving up his bar credentials.

btw: Rush also a a little blurb that he was at a celebrity golf tournament this weekend and another "Hollywood Celebrity" came up to him and admitted he was a conservative but couldn't let all his other "Hollywood Celebrity" friends know about it....

Something's cooking here...like "Hollywood" (who Rush and his ilk blame for damned near everything) is going to get massive credit for something good and Rush wants his dittoheads to think it's because they are really closet Repubs....it was a rather strange bit.
