Chris Matthews smacked David Brooks on his show
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 08:15 AM by Halliburton
David Brooks was saying that no one cared about the Plame affair, and then Chris Matthews said his viewership has gone up everyday he has covered this case. Brooks had no response.

27. I saw it on the Sunday show.

It was also parroted by Tucker, so it must have been in the memo. Oops forgot to add that when Tucker said it was just in the belt way that folks were taking any interest in this, that Ron Regan said it was a hot topic of conversation in Seattle.

2. Which case?
I don't have cable. Are you talking about Plamegate or Delay. Or something else altogether.

23. Hey Welcome To DU! Don't TGhink I Have Seen You Before!
The More The Merrier!

In my opinion, the problem with them making that argument is that none of them has a freakng clue how anyone outside of Washington thinks!

Looks like Brooksie is still out there working for his Republican massas. The smart Repugs have already started distancing themselves from Dub, but not Brooksie.

7. Saw it; Brooks really sounded delusional to me.
Yeah, no one is paying attention or cares. He's correct if you're someone who doesn't watch news; otherwise, it's not easy to believe.
WE CARE! I so look forward to all these bozos eating their words!

12. You are right David Brooks
Nobody cares about the case(s)

- Plame - treason
- Delay - money laundering
- Frist - insider trading
- Limbaugh - drugs
- The Death Toll in Iraq - based on lies
- Incompetence at FEMA - bush's lack of leadership
- The ruination of the economy - conservative hypocrisy
- State's without national guard assistance - lack of leadership
- The price of gas - more assistance for bush cronies

No Dave, Americans don't care about any of the above cases which are destroying our country all because of the broken moral compass of one political party. Nothing important there Dave.

20. Bosshog---beautiful list. So on the mark.
Sad, isn't it?? Obviously about half the people in this country cannot recognize criminal behavior unless it's some local lunatic who shot his wife and dog. Seems like the bigger the crime, the better chance one has of getting away with it.

21. You missed it then after Katrina when
Brooks turned for a week or two and was so disgusted with * that he told Jim Lehrer that now he knew what it must be like for Mark Shields to watch * on TV... he was very, very angry.

I think Brooksie has had his world turned upside down and he is struggling with being a good conservative Republican or a goosestepping * follower.

19. Actually, that reply makes me sick
That's an admittance from Tweety that he will whore to whatever brings up his ratings. Now we know why when the barstool patriots ruled this country, this "great" journalist (ugly pig), just like all his counterparts, didn't go after these criminals and expose them. Hope they enjoy their big bucks 'cause there's a whole bunch of dead people because of them.

26. "no one cares" is just another "talking point" that has been sent out
to the neocons to spout everytime they get a chance. The "talking point" tactic has seen its best days. It is wearing thin and very recognizable.
