Don't get too excited
I want to caution some people here not to get too excited about the Rove case. As much as we all want to see the scum indicted, we shouldn't get overly excited because this might not go the way we want it.

2. Excited?
We have been stepped on, beaten up, dismissed, kept from voting and now we aren't supposed to be excited. We are wayyyy beyond that. I think when folks get their hopes up, hey are also realistically aware of the possibilities that we still have Republicans running the show!

Hope is not excitement, besides a little will never kill us.

3. Nothing wrong with hope, but
I'm just saying that we shouldn't get our hopes up to high.

7. Nah...
It's good to see. It's also motivating people to get involved, because they see change. It's when there isn't hope that people become disinterested in politics.

4. Well, I am not holding my breath about it.
I'll just wait to see what happens. In fact, I am a bit pessimistic and don't think too much will come of any indictments should they happen.

8. Are you kidding?
Fitz opened a website. It was a necessity for all the documents he'll be releasing following the indictments. Eat, drink, and be merry! It's goin down!

This guy has done more dirty deeds than anyone else and I can't wait till he has his karma served! So I agree Uben. I've got my soda and popcorn ready to celebrate!

5. I expect Libby to be indicted - that's it.
His conviction will be overturned in 2010 on techinicality by some GOP-appointed DC judge.

Judy Miller will end up writing for WashTimes, Nat Rev, Weak Standard etc and appear regularly on FoxNews.

6. If there is a case, fitz will indict. If not, he won't
Seems like a straight-up guy, from all I have read.

IMHO he has a case.

9. Is it at all possible that anyone at all hasn't beaten him/herself
Edited on Sun Oct-23-05 12:47 PM by EST
over the head with this very possibility? It's the monster in the closet for everybody. Like the halloween dance and the Great Pumpkin, hope springs eternal and there is much fertile ground. (Ahhh--Mixed metaphor heaven)
I am quite sure it won't go the way we would want it, but anything that keeps banging on the "Culture of Corruption" gong and correctly points out the crookedness of the whole anti-people mob is of immense value.

14. Dang, don't take away our faith...
that our boat will come in. ;( I feel like I'm in the process of drowning and just bobbed up for the 2nd time to see help on the way. Holding onto hope, here! We don't want any sacrificial lambs...get the whole tribe! This country will flourish again!

I'm just wondering what reason do you have to believe this case won't produce indictments.

18. I'm convincee there will be NO indicments, period
And Miers will be pulled and Owens put up (and she will look like a constitutional genius in comparison), and all the seeming gains of the past two months disappeared.

Tell me again about optimistic assessments?

The question is, will it be the 'Eagles up!!!1111!' kind of crazy OR the 'Demoncrats framed them' kind.
