Will Rove be indicted?
If Rove told the Grand Jury: Libby told me he had heard from a/some reporters that this was junket set up by Wilson's wife and I passed that info on to Cooper and at least one other, to level the playing field.

It could be believed that he just forgot about telling Cooper. Then Rove doesn't get indicted.

I'm not saying I buy this story mostly because it is so easy to believe Rove is a vindictive bastard based on his history.

But the prosecutor can't take into account the rumors about Rove's alleged history of dirty dealing...because it has not been proved.

Had a "disturbing" conversation with 7 very intelligent people last night. 6 of them are attorneys, one a federal judge and former federal prosecutor and all follow the news as closely as I do. All 7 are convinced Rove will never be indicted. We are all total left wing freaks so the opinions were not based on some political agenda to cover up. They believe Rove turned on Libby and in the process "cleared" himself. (As an aside, 2 of them were honestly hot shit high school debaters when Rove was apparently a hot shit high school debater. They say no way was Rove a hot shit debater or they would remember him.)

3. He was called before the grand jury four times
which anyone can tell you, is an excessive number of testimonies in one case. Could be they were grilling him because his stories changed and conflicted with each re-telling, not a good sign for WH resident evil genius KKKarl.

4. yes that would explain his attny's sly smile as they walked out of
grand jury room. Looked like Rove had pulled off some good crap.

5. It depends, imo, whether Fitzgerald is only investigating within
the narrow confines of the leak itself or if his investigation has broadened to include WHIG, which I believe it has, in which Rove was as integral a part as Libby. If the investigation stays within the narrow confines then your friends could very well be right whereas if Fitzgerald's investigation is much broader than Rove is very much, as stated in various articles, in serious legal jeopardy.

6. Nobody knows!!
I know how much fun it is to speculate. We all want everybody indicted! The Pubs don't wnat ANTBODY indicted!

As difficult as it is to wait, I'm VERY glad Fitz is "the only non-leaker" in DC!

The thing is, nobody knows exactly what was said, what can be proven, or how far this investigation really extends.

SOON, there will be information announced by Fitz. In less than 5 days, we'll have some answers. For those thinking we'll know all, you're wrong! It will be just the beginning.

7. Depends on what was asked and said in the GJ's presence.
Maybe he will be indicted. Maybe not. It looks like the White House is trying to pin the whole scandal on Scooter Libby. And it looks like he is willing to take the rap. But then there is WHIG and the possibility of a conspiracy charge. So, it is hard to say.

8. I believe there will be no indictments in the actual crime
of leaking Plame's name. However, I do believe Rove and others will be indicted for perjury and obstruction. With that said, I don't think anyone will do jail time. They will either be pardoned or find a loophole somewhere.

Just my opinion from listening to talk shows and reading different aticles

12. Welcome to DU, magicoflife!
:hi:

Regarding the possible indictments, I guess we're all just having to play "wait and see".........

I remain hopeful Justice will be served.

Maybe that's just me, but so be it.

11. Espionage
Look at this charge very closely. It is what will do Rove in.
Not outting an operative, but passing classified info to a person without clearance. He is caught....red handed. So is Libby, and I believe they will both go to jail for it.

14. The word is it is all only politics and that should not be illegal
As long as it is for political reasons it should never be illegal no matter what the actions are. Is there much worse than treason? As long as it was done for political reasons it is A-Okay, unless of course a Democrat did it and we all know they are traitors anyway. Them damn Democrats are trying to make political actions like this criminal. Oh the Gall of them Democrats...Can't they understand that the Empire is always right..
