New movie! WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 10:42 AM by JanMichael
The website is here.

You can view the trailer too!

Here's a great line from the preview, "If you can't pay a living wage you can't come to Chicago", too bad more people don't have that sort sort of passion.

Driving wages down, exploiting foreign workers, destroying local businesses, inducing sprawl, tossing the healthcare costs of their employees onto local governments and states, the list is almost endless...

STOP THEM!!!!

1. I had a discussion about Wal-mart
with some people at work. They don't give a rat's ass about any of this...for them it's about getting by on their budget.

3. The irony is that by shopping there they ultimately help drive down wages.
Perhaps even their own in the near future.

5. It's about today, not tomorrow...
Considering that one of my co-workers has over 100,000 dollars in medical debt because of a sick child, she's far more conscious of where her money's going today than what will happen to it tomorrow.

2. The WalMart heirs did not become among the world's most wealthy by goody-
two-shoes business practices being practiced by WalMart.

4. They're simply the "lucky" recipients of rich sperm.
I have very little respect for them. Especially Chairman Rob.
