Cheney warns of single day of horror.
He is already too late. It happened in November of 2001.

"I am as dumb as I look." D. Cheney

2. Only the Cheney-Bush team can keep us safe from all harm; only the
Cheney-Bush team can rid the entire world of all terrorist acts/terrorism: in fact in the entire history of mankind, only they are all-knowing and have the God-given right to blow hell out of anybody they choose for whatever reason they deem necessary. So you see, we must all trust them for they and only they can keep us safe from all harm, from all evil, only they and their hard-far-right ideology have all the answers. <hint: just a slight touch of sarcasm in case Cheney's remarks were all about partisan politics>

3. We are less secure now!
Our candidates are hitting that theme hard, and that's great.

If we have reason to be afraid now, maybe it's because Bush and Cheney spent more than half the army and hundreds of billions of dollars on a war that only made us less secure.

It's about waste of national security resources, and yes, it's about fear. And the Bush/Cheney story is the story of an administration that panicked, struck out alone and against clear-headed advice, and shot up the bushes trying to hit a bogeyman that wasn't hiding in there.

Cowards and incompetents with itchy trigger fingers, no guts, and no brains. That's Bush/Cheney.
