The more the finger seemed to point to Horowitz, the more sensationalized it became. Perhaps a lot of people in the media were secretly hoping that Nancy Grace would be made a fool of.

You're absolutely right about disproportionate coverage. How many women have been murdered in America since Saturday, and how many of their names do we know? You've got to be rich or hot to have your murder noticed outside your community in this country.

Yeah fine announce it nationally and then move on...that story has been covered for HOURS today and it's ridiculous.

I don't need to know all this intimate crap about these people because he's a television legal commentator (that prior to this week I don't even recall seeing)

Disproportionate doesn't even cover it...I have no need to hear Nancy Grace carrying on and half crying about this ad nauseum every hour on the hour.

I am sorry for the family of the woman, but come on... this doesn't warrant around the clock debate and discussion like it's big news.

but given that there are 40 or 50 murders every day across the country, the killing of a woman in Oakland hardly merits the kind of national mass media attention it has gotten. I don't care if the husband is a close personal friend of Nancy Grace.

16-year-old arrested in Vitale slaying case

Investigators arrested a 16-year-old boy in the slaying of Pamela Vitale, wife of famed defense attorney Daniel Horowitz, late Wednesday while serving searching warrants at a home in Walnut Creek and another at a residence on Hunsaker Canyon Road.

Jimmy Lee, Sheriff's Office spokesman, wouldn't confirm the arrest this morning, but said a press briefing would be held later today.

A law enforcement source said a teenager who lived down the street from Vitale had been questioned and taken to juvenile hall.

The motive in the killing appears to be related to a credit-card theft scheme allegedly carried out by Dyleski and another teenage friend, who has not been implicated in the killing, the sources said on condition of anonymity.
