My timeline:

1: I read about it on DU or Daily KOS. Very volatile, smart people throwing around thoughts and ideas like frisbee golf. Some great research and minds like encyclopedias putting out little known or forgotten elements supplemented by some great individual interpretation.

2: Huffington Post, Raw Story and Buzzflash among others,seem to often synthesize and make coherent and often humorous many disparate threads on multiple blogs with some cogent, tuned in writer. I am seeing this lately as being a road to respectability for some blog theories.

3.I inform Hubby who invariably asks: why haven't I read or heard of this?

4: The Johnnie Come Lately if Ever Mainstream Guys who then write some pathetic article which Dilutes so Much You Don't Even Recognize the Major Important Thread Anymore Because They Have Crapped All Over It So Much.

5. Hardball, MTP, NYT, Washington Post, etc.

6. Hubster turns to me and asks - "isn't this the same bs you were yelling about 2 months ago?

Every story. Every time.

1. I find that I do the same thing.

And my husband once said the same to me as yours did to you: "Weren't you talking/raving about this a couple of months ago?"

DU, Buzzflash, and other sites have helped me educate myself, and in turn, helped me educate others who, while not Bushies in any way, shape, or form, initially could not believe some of the things I would tell them. But then, somewhere along the line, they would read something about what I had already told them. Now they see that the media doesn't report anywhere near the truth of what is going on in this country, and they too, have become skeptical, and will often ask me about something. Not that I am an expert, mind you; I'm not saying that. But it's because I spend a lot of time searching and researching things to keep myself informed about what's going on, and they know I often have info on things they are curious about. And I don't mind at all. Not everybody is a political/internet junkie like I am, so I'm happy to pass on to others what I know.

2. My husband and friends say the same thing about my rants

Then PBS or NPR or corporate media gets around to reporting what we already know (old news to us) . . .

and then I get "you were right about x, y or z" heard it on ________".
