Scotty refuses to answer "W has confidence in Karl Rove?"
Al Franken played a clip from the last press conference:
The question is posed repeatedly.
Scotty zigs and zags "won't respond in context of an ongoing investigation" and "check transcripts of previous answers"
Al Frenken did - and the answer was then "yes" (ongoing investigation being also present). Hmmmm...so what changed?

2. Gee Snottie, George said he'd FIRE anyone who leaked
Does that mean that George and Karl have talked and Karl has said he didn't leak? After all, it appears he still has a job. How serious is the president in determining the truth in this matter? Or does the president feel that this is not a serious matter?

It is, you know, one of the hallmarks of a grown-up to ask the unpleasant questions and to demand a straight answer. Is the president avoiding his responsibility to the country in deference to personal relationships with his friends? Is that the way the president thinks the country ought to be governed, that the common good takes a back seat to his personal friendships?

5. The questions DO seem rather obvious, don't they?
I wonder why no one in the media will ask them?

I mean, I'm pretty sure they already know the answers, but wouldn't it be a useful exercise in getting the White House on the record with its answers? That is, if we're supposed to still be maintaining the fiction of a functioning democracy.
