If Bush is an undicted co-conspirator,
Edited on Sun Oct-16-05 09:31 PM by shraby
would he be able to pardon anyone because he would be one of the conspirators until he is cleared of the accusation?

1. For that matter...
If he pardoned KKKarl, would Poppa Bush take him out and give him the ass-whipping he deserves? Probably not. Bushes don't discipline their children - as evidenced by all the drugs, sex and other felonies all of them are involved in.

Frankly, I think Poppa ought to horsewhip his bratty ass kid... How must it feel to have been the President of the US, then raise a cokehead brat who took the same job, and disgraced the very CIA that you helped build?

Poppa must be so proud of this twit.

4. The president's pardon power...
...for federal offenses is plenary, without review, and virtually without limit.

he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

So the president can prevent the conviction, or un-do the consequences of any federal conviction that did not arise from impeachment by the House and conviction by the Senate.

Anybody going down in the Plame scandal would be pardonable, if they were charged and convicted the ordinary way -- federal indictment by grand jury, followed by a guilty finding in federal court.

5. Let's hope that a huge enough abuse of pardon power ...
... leads to the International Criminal Courts. Until these people are serving terms of 20 years to life, I won't be satisfied.

6. How about 50 to life to make sure the younger one don't get out?
