Would 2008 have been John Jr's time to run ?
I think the death of John Jr. was much more then we realize in how it is going to effect our future ,that he indeed had a future as a President and it was his for the taking .I believe 2008 would have been the time enough people would have convinced him his time had come and to run .He would have excited a whole new generation of Americans like his father ,no repug ,would even come close to what his poll #'s out of te gate would have been ,and may even have had a hard time finding someone who would want to waste their time running against him ,except maybe Jeb who would have looked like a fool trying to debate John Jr. Why does it seem the forces of evil seem to be winning out ,and stealing our childens future ,smoething has to turn this around .Oh John Jr. you and your father are so greatly missed.

3. Oh Please
Run for President? Oh please. The pedigree should not be enough for the highest office in the world. My God at least W was a governor first.

I would never ever vote for John Jt. Because of his dad

4. As nearly as I can tell,
John Jr. didn't seem to have much of an interest in political office. I don't recall him ever persuing that avenue during his lifetime.

Maybe we should be looking to Caroline, though she also doesn't seem to be showing much interest in electoral politics.

The death of John Jr. was a tragedy, but probably not one with major implications for the future of our country. The same could not be said about the murders of his father and uncle.

5. what is the American obsession with "royalty"?
Why would JFK Jr have been predestined for the Whitehouse?
You've had Bush41, then Clinton, now Bush43.
There's a certain push among some supporters on both sides for (Hilary) Clinton vs (Jeb) Bush in '08.
What's up with that?
Brand loyalty?
From the outside looking in, it appears most curious that a nation founded in revolution and declaring itself a Republic would hold such a fascination with pedigree.

8. If all "Royalty" was like Kennedy's...
Edited on Sun Oct-16-05 08:46 AM by NicRic
I would gladly bring it to this coyntry .The Kennedys where raised in a wealthy family yet have deep feelings of protecting the less fourtionate and a high respect for the working persons rights .Who could ask for a better King or Queen ? Believe the wealthy of the country should be more charitable , if not by choice then by taxation. As a hard working middle class man, I say in John John's case ,I would have total confidence is his abilities ,a very smart man that really had compassion .Not a shallow man with no brain ,like our current idiot in office !

6. That's why they killed him. He was going to run for governor of
New York and then the presidency. He kept quiet about his plans (for good reason) until shortly before his death.

Another democrat in a small plane crash.

12. RFK Jr needs to run for office
I believe if Kerry would have won then Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would have been head of the EPA or even Attorney General. RFK Jr. needs to run for some kind of office. He is passionate and is a fighter.

Run Bobby Run!

17. I just love him
It kills me that he was out there campaigning his heart out for Kerry and people turn around and say the campaign had no environmental platform. The activists were so obsessed with Bush lies that they never paid attention to the message that so many Democrats were trying to get out. And we could have had Bobby as head of the EPA. How can a campaign get more environmentally conscience than that.

15. So so sad
I think that more likely it would have been 2016 or 2020- he would have worked his way up by throwing his hat into the ring as a senator or something like that.
