Here's the kind of idiocy we have to deal with in ID/evolution debate
This was in the LTTE section of my paper today and it was so idiotic, I had to share it

Concerning the question about intelligent design and evolution, it should be noted that each species on Earth has its own kind of flesh. This is a fact that almost everyone on Earth already knows to be true. There are so many kinds of flesh that I won't attempt to make a list. Those who believe that humans have evolved from the ape family should be prepared to explain how ape flesh could be changed into human flesh.

Clyde Meredith

Clark Fork, Idaho

How does one debate someone who displays such reckless ignorance?

1. Can't debate with people like this.
I do like this line however...

"There are so many kinds of flesh that I won't attempt to make a list."

2. Such people are proof of the link
between monkeys and humans. Their bodies have evolved, but their brains haven't. ;-)

6. mmm Earthly Ape Flesh
Take that Mr. Ape-fleshed right-winger Clyde Meredith, with my magickal evolution wand I can transform your dumb unthinking ape flesh, including your monkey brain, into that of a thinking human!

He starts out all smart-like with a big word like Concerning, but he lost me at the ape flesh.

It's also good that this space traveller pointed out that his flesh comment *ONLY* applies to those species found on Earth. Those centipede-men of Proxima Centauri are comlete commie bastards.

The only way to debate this person is to occupy an equally bizzarre and logic free zone. May I suggest David Icke's site explaining how blue-blooded reptillians control the world. :D

13. Bet he attended skool in Kansas. Or Ohio.
Sorry to all folks here from Ohio and Kansas. But I printed up the Flying Spaghetti Noodle appendage for a religious friend last night, and after the third shot and third page, even he was holding his sides in laughter. (he was born in Kansas and studied in Ohio)

Seriously, though, how DOES one argue or education such a person?

How about taking blood samples from a hispanic, a black, a white gay female, a chinese gay male, a gorilla and a pig? Put the samples on a slide, and invite him to look under the microscope and look for differences. After 10 minutes, be kind and show pity on him by showing him how to plug the microscope in and turn on the power.

After letting him look at all the slides for as long as he wants, ask him to identify the christian blood.

8. Wow, that's like a whole new level of dumb.
I'm not sure there is a way to respond to such a bizarre and wrong-headed approach. I am curious about where in the world someone could get such an idea.

9. There are many kinds of Evolution...let me count some
Progress...most languages evolve over time, machines also improve/evolve as well, and etc.

Evolution is change.... usually over a long period of time.

Most always for the better....

But sometimes, in our Human Context, we Devolve...go backwards in philosophy and mind set.

This lady clearly has gone backwards in her thinking capacity and should be sent to Ernest Angley and share a cell with him for 56 years

10. Old people have loads of funny ideas like that...
That's rare, the flesh thing.

It stuff their parents handed down. My grandmother, for example, was an algebra teacher who firmly believed that black people could only learn "so much"...

This is, by the way, a good example of what we're up against. It's entirely possible that Clyde has children / nieces, etc who he's pumped up with this crap. They 'walk among us'...
