Is anybody on DU watching the Million More March on CSPAN?
I have been very impressed.

I can't believe I just saw Cornell West on TV. Only on CSPAN...

I most liked the AME bishop who was on earlier talking about how he claimed all great minds (listed all major denominations and their founders, plus other major religions, plus black/white, men/women). It was powerful stuff...

Anyone else watching? Any thoughts?

Looks a bit spotty, but there are definitely a lot of people there... not a million, though.

8. Cornell West should have his own television show

He is not on TV enough for me.

He is one of the leading intellectuals of this era and I rarely see him on MSM.

I see him on the Tavis Smiley/Tom Joyner forums but if he was on Larry King, I can't recall that interview.

Nor do I recall him on the Morning shows or Oprah.

Help me if I missed him.
Cornell West rocks!

6. Dr Therman Evans
is now saying that we should all fight for universal healthcare.

"Healthcare is a RIGHT."

He also said that if Congress has universal healthcare, we should have the same thing.

BRAVO!!!!

Native American leader who spoke - including words that said that they did not have a word for prayer in their native language - I was impressed. Though he didn't quite say it, it meant, to me, that they and we can live prayer. His was a powerful yet simple message- in contrast to all the prayers being said, yet united in a prayer-like-honor.

I loved the Puerto Rican lady who read a fabulous speech. Her words were perfect and I thank her for taking the time to write such a great message.

I liked the phrase 'from Alaska to Argentina'.

I liked Malvina.

I liked the dancers and drummers.

What I saw was professional and inspiring.

I will stay up late to catch more.

Thank you - to everyone who participated and those who are watching.

Thank you, C-Span. This kinda makes up for about four weeks of non-stop speakers from American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation on WJ and your coverage of their endless meetings. You still have to do more to make up for nine years and eleven months of bringing us all those AEI and HF 'experts on every subject'. Experts who propagandize for the right wing day after day on tv because you give them free reign.

Blessed be the all the little people of the Americas for they are all God's children.

16. Also
There was a woman on earlier who made the connection explicity between the suspension of the Davis-Bacon Act and Halliburton's no-bid contract in rebuilding NOLA.

This could all be coming together.

If we all realize that we are in this together, we can change things.
