This message is directed at pro-Bush, pro-war, able-bodied adults between the ages of 18 and 42. This is your moment of truth. If you think that the war in Iraq is a noble cause still worth fighting, it's time for you to put your life where your mouth is.
As you may have heard, the US military is having a pretty rough time meeting their recruitment goals. For several months now, both the Army and the Marines have not met their monthly enlistment quotas. Not even the promise of increased signing bonuses has been able to get young men and women of this country to join the military to go fight in Iraq. Why? Because most Americans now realize that Bush and his neocon handlers are nothing but a bunch of liars, thieves, and war criminals.
So, if you still fervently believe in Bush and his war, it's time for you to saddle up or shut up. Below, I have provided links to direct you to the branch of the US military you wish to serve in. Your services as an internet propagandist for the Bush administration and their ill-conceived war in Iraq are no longer needed on the homefront -- they need boots on the ground.

Posting rants about "anti-American libs," and plastering your car with yellow magnetic ribbons are no longer sufficient means of "supporting the troops." You need to put a dust-cover on the keyboard, put the car in storage, and march down to the nearest recruitment center in your neighborhood, and sign on the dotted line. No more excuses.

You know, during World War One, jingoists would pass out white feathers to able-bodied men who hadn't enlisted in the British Royal Army to serve in the war against Kaiser Wilhelm.

IMHO, you're still looking at about 15% diehard corporatist (for whom all this Bushwa is still VERY good), coupled with 20% Religion Industry. When you see that number fall to 30 and below, that will be the erosion not of the corporatists, but of the knuckle-walker base. They will feel betrayed by the lack of "prayuh in ah skoowz" and the fact that no matter how hard they pray for * and speak in tongues and handle snakes, they're still getting poorer and Gawd seems to be getting deafer.

9. You're probably right

as the corporatists will hold on until Bush policies become harmful to the corporations. Of course, Bush's policies are overall extremely harmful to corporations in the long term. For now, they're increasing shareholder wealth which is all they really care about anyway.

However, the fundies have been thrown their ration of red meat with the Miers nomination. If it goes down in flames, which at this point appears a certainty, Bush can keep their support with a simple, "Hey, I put her out there for you. They voted her down. It's not my fault." (as if anything ever is his fault). But Bush has to also appear to be working to get her approved in order for this to happen or else they'll say he didn't do enough and there will be some fundie erosion.
