Bush draws flacks from Al Gore- "Op-Ed"

A must read!

Snip <Remember Al Gore? He served as the VP for two terms under President Bill Clinton from 1992 through 2000. Gore ran for the White House in November 2000 to capture more popular votes than any other candidates (yes, more votes than George Bush) but only to lose the race because he did not receive enough electoral votes - a quirky system that is still in place after this country became independent 229 years ago.

Al Gore did not run for the White House in 2004, nor did he make scathing remarks on Bush Administration's colossal failure vis-à-vis Iraq War. He did a limited campaign for John Kerry in October and November of 2004 only to see that the Democratic candidate, Kerry, lose the election. But wait? Gore is back in the media. No, he says he has no aspiration to run for the coveted office in 2008. Still then, Gore made some scathing remarks on Bush Administration's failure in a speech given at an economic forum at Stockholm, Sweden.

I picked up the news in the Yahoo news portal where I read an Associated Press write-up. It is an interesting piece no doubt. Gore in a speech given on October 12, 2005, made it very clear that he had no intention of ever running for president again, but he said the United States would be “a different country” if he had won the 2000 election. With that intro he launched a scathing attack on the Bush administration.>

2. we've got to get him to run, but first
(or simultaneously) we've got to get paper trails for voting. if anybody's got the brains to make it happen, it's gore. and having clark as a running mate wouldn't hurt :loveya:
