Bill OReilly in trouble with MA judge.....charged w/ judicial undermining?
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 08:34 AM by SillyGoose
I caught part of this last night while channel surfing and have been unable to find a link about it this morning. From what I could gather from the portion I saw, Bill OReilly was charged with 'judicial undermining' for targeting a judge's decision in Massachusetts regarding a child abuse case. I don't know if this is a formal charge or not.

According to a defense attorney who appeared on his show, OReilly was targeting a Massachusetts judge by putting her photo on the air and undermining the judicial system by publicly condemning her decision in a case involving child abuse. Did anyone else see this? I never heard of 'judicial undermining' as a formal charge and am wondering what this is all about.

Here is a link to his page where you can watch a video of the segment last night called Bad Judgment but I can't get it to work. Its on the right side of the page in the video section.

O'Reilly Bad-Mouths "Lenient" Judges While Showcasing Tainted Lawyer
Last night Bill O'Reilly interviewed yet another strong-minded, well-spoken guest he couldn't control and - as in the Phil Donohue interview - resorted to loud blustering and self-righteous indignation to cover for the fact that his guest was making valid points. Ed Ryan, Chairman of the Massachusetts Committee on Judicial Independence, passionately defended Massachusetts Judge Margot Botsford and every other judge in the United States because in the past weeks, O'Reilly targeted two more judges as part of his ongoing jihad against an independent judiciary. His unfortunate victims are the afore-mentioned Judge Botsford and Minnesota Judge Thomas Schroeder.

1. It's not formal
It was just some lawyer's statement.

2. I caught just part of it on the rerun at 11pm and was half asleep
when I was listening to it. What had gotten my attention was hearing the word "charged".

That was posted yesterday. I'm sure they'll have something today on last night's show.

4. Thanks...I just found that, too, while you were posting. LOL
What caught my attention was the word "charged" while I was flipping through the channels. I didn't see the whole segment so was sort of clueless about what it was all about.
