Any info about CACI v. Randi Rhodes... No MSM/other media coverage
I briefly read a post last night about Randi talking about being sued by CACI for slander (or defimation, I'm not sure). Is there any other information about this that anyone has seen? Even though I don't welcome lawsuits upon anyone, this one has the chance to hurt CACI and company much more than they could even hope to gain from Randi. I "google news"-ed Randi and caci and came up empty. Any more infor or links would be welcome. Thanks

2. CACI = Mercenaries in Iraq
Randi mentioned it yesterday on her show. I'll be interested in any more news also. The discovery phase could prove interesting.

If she could be sued for slander of defamation ...
it sounds like she did more that just mention it.

5. CACI is a civilian contractor implicated in the Abu Ghraib abuses
She talked about the company on her show August 25 & 26 and I guess they didn't like what she was saying.

6. Oh, wow, now I'm even more moved by their complaints...
NOT!

I love Randi - she calls 'em as she sees 'em. Fuck these guys. They're big boys. They revel in death and blood and torture. FUCK THEM if they can't handle the criticism.

12. This is not a swift boat operation
this is a way to financially break Randi and AAR. It doesn't matter what Randi said, fighting this suit could break her and AAR. As soon as they are broke, CACI will withdraw the suit.

definitely a very plausible explanation. CACI knows that they have no case, so no settlement is possible, one would think. If they get a judge who doesn't laugh this case out of court up front, then they could try to bleed Randi dry and then throw their hands up and say, "forgetaboutit."

14. I'm Shocked, Shocked that CACI Could Have Been Involved
Doesn't Randi understand. All the torture and abuse of Iraqi prisoners was caused by 2 privates and one sergeant. They were just a couple of bad apples. Our government wouldn't lie to us. The contractors in charge of the interrogation aren't on trial, so they must be innocent. It is pure coincidence that the same types of physical and psychological abuse also occurred at Guantanamo Bay on the other side of the world before it occurred in Iraq.

Those privates in Iraq must have carefully studied Muslim culture in their homes in West Virginia before they arrived at the prison, and determined on their own exactly what type of abuse would have been most insulting to Muslim men.

Wait until Randi's lawyers start to demand internal CACI memos about the interrogations through legal discovery. Then CACI will make sure the lawsuit goes away real fast.

I think that this is a ploy to break AAR too. Hopefully it will not work. America needs Air America Radio
